Mike leads Rising Generation Music (previously known as Family Worship Resources), and has been writing and recording songs for over 30 years. He has often written especially with children in mind, with some songs being specifically for children, but also aims to write songs that are useful for all generations to sing together, in the context of corporate worship.
Born in Zimbabwe, but living most of his life in London, married to Sue with 3 grown daughters and 4 grandchildren. Mike’s day job is in Finance, which has taken him all round the world, including living in the US for a number of years.
Mike has been involved in local church leadership and church planting, and attends Catford Community Church in south-east London. He has also visited numerous churches over the years of all denominations, sizes and styles, leading services and workshops, and is keen to see how music and creativity of all types can help the church to stay relevant, and to attract and engage all ages in a local, national and international context.
Mike other passions include walking, running, gardening, web design, and sadly, West Ham United.
